The radioactive methyl iodide method is used to test the full-size iodine adsorber with the whole performance test system which can adjust the relative humidity of airflow. Studies the effect of the relative humidity of airflow and the operating time on the iodine removal efficiency of iodine adsorbers. The results show that the iodine removal efficiency of iodine adsorber does not change significantly when the relative humidity of airflow is less than 60%, begins to decrease when the relative humidity of airflow is close to or greater than 70%, and the rate of decline increases when the relative humidity of the airflow is greater than 90%. The influence of the iodine adsorber is reversible, and the low relative humidity airflow can restore the iodine removal efficiency of the iodine adsorber affected by the excessively high humidity airflow to the level before the influence. When the iodine adsorber runs for 48 hours under the set humidity condition, the iodine removal efficiency has no relation to the running time.
